DMX awarded four-year contract to supply IT Professional Services to Hong Kong Government
Singapore, 16 September 2013 – DMX Technologies Group Limited, (“DMX”) is pleased to announce that its Hong Kong subsidiary, DMX Technologies (HK) Limited (“DMX HK”), has secured a four-year contract for the supply of IT Professional Services to Hong Kong Government Departments.
Preceding this, DMX HK secured a four-year contract to provide IT professional services for the Hong Kong Government in 2009. Under this new four-year award, DMX HK will provide an array of professional information security and independent testing services for the various departments and bureaus of Hong Kong Government such as Security Risk Assessment & Audit Services, Security Management Design & Implementation Services and IT Security Monitoring & Incident Response Support Services.
Ms Jismyl Teo, Chief Executive Officer of DMX commented, “The Hong Kong Government is a major consumer of IT professional services. We are pleased to be awarded another 4 years of services contract. This reflects the assurance and confidence in the IT services provided by our HK team”.

Singapore, 4 March 2013 – DMX Technologies Group Limited, (“DMX”, “宏天科技” or the “Group”), a leading integrated network infrastructure and digital media solutions provider, has partnered with ChinaUnionpay Merchant Services Co., LTD (“Chinaums”, “银联商务有限公司”), a subsidiary of ChinaUnionPay (“中国银联”), to provide its cloud-based enterprise mobile application, D-Smart Point-of-Sale (“POS”) to chain retailers in China, further expanding the D-Smart application across China. The application will be marketed under the brand name of “银联商务智能店铺管家” and will be launched in March 2013.
Chinaums is the largest merchant services operator in China, focusing on bankcard acquisition and third-party services. It provides quality, efficient and standardized services for card issuers, merchants and cardholders through its far-reaching service network across China. Founded in 2002, Chinaums has grown to be the largest bank card acquisition agency with 1.99 million merchants as their customers. Among Chinaums’ customer base, many of them are large chain retailers with more than one retail outlet. The integration of the mobile POS service is expected to reduce maintenance downtime, provide value-add service to its customers and consequently increase another revenue stream for Chinaums.
D-Smart POS is one out of a suite of applications on the D-Smart platform, and is offered to enterprise customers as a Software as a Service (“SaaS”) under the Group’s fast-growing New Media division. The application provides real-time sales and inventory management services via smartphones and tablets. Eliminating the need for initial high investment in hardware and software, customers need only undertake monthly subscription services, thereby reducing capital expenditure and enhancing flexibility and efficiency of their operations.

Under the partnership, DMX and Chinaums will undertake a revenue sharing scheme based on service uptake. DMX China will build and integrate the D-Smart POS with Chinaums’ wireless credit card POS system, while further enhancing Chinaums’ services with wireless printer and cashbox functionalities. Chinaums will also promote D-Smart POS to their branch offices and to the existing chain retailers nationwide.

DMX Technologies Korea (‘DMX Korea’) says that it has acquired the qualification of ‘Cisco Cloud Builder’ which is the top grade of Cisco Cloud partner program.
The Cisco Cloud Partner Program is designed to help partners become cloud services resellers, cloud builders and cloud services resellers and cloud services providers. This designation validates partners’ competency in three aspects of building Cisco-centric clouds: Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Management Applications, and Cloud Professional Services.
DMX Korea, which also awarded with Cisco SI Gold partnership and MCP (Multinational Certified Partner), is planning to promote Cisco’s Unified Fabric, Unified Computing, Integrated management data center architecture-based Private/Public/Hybrid Cloud.
Also, DMX Korea has planned to strengthen its Cloud automation and Orchestration capabilities. This means that DMX will provide higher Cloud Service to integrate scattered virtual resources and to connect other Cloud Service.
DMX Korea is preparing to support infrastructure and Cloud establishment service in the same level of domestic support through DMX’s group network of 7 countries and 25 offices to customers which are planning to extend their business overseas.
DMX Korea says, “DMX is the only partner that has all expert skills such as system establishment, operating and management through virtualization technology to establish Cloud Infrastructure and provides infrastructure establishment overseas.” It also highlights that “Especially for the customers planning to extend their business overseas, DMX can provide the most effective infrastructure establishment and supports for Cloud service.”
DMX Technologies posted a 13.7 per cent increase in net profit to US$4.74 million for the second quarter ended June.
This translates to earnings per share of 0.41 US cent compared with 0.36 US cent in the same quarter last year.
Revenue was up 13.15 per cent at US$91.12 million, mainly helped by gains in its infrastructure enabling division. The business segment grew 17.1 per cent year-on-year to US$52.1m, making up 57.2 per cent of overall sales.
For the first half of the year, DMX managed a 10.63 per cent increase in net profit to US$6.78 million, while turnover rose 13.5 per cent to US$164.56 million.
Backed by an outstanding order book as at June 30 of US$75.8 million, and barring unforeseen circumstances, DMX said it expects another profitable year ahead.
